How can I learn filmmaking online? – Filmmaking Definition

  • by

One of the best ways to learn is by watching other films. There are hundreds if not thousands of film courses available on YouTube and other websites, and I’d rather watch a lot of different content than try to do the same things all of the time. Try to watch a film or two, read some blog posts about it and try to pick up a few concepts so that when you’re making your own film you’ll have some idea of how to go about the process. The second option is to watch videos on filmmaking from other film lovers, but of course, you don’t want to watch just one YouTube video and not try the other ones. The best is to watch various films or documentaries, but some of these will be more focused on filmmaking than others, and it’s best to read a couple of books or blog posts on filmmaking to learn more about production than about filming. I find that it’s the people who know the process most fully and who are most knowledgeable that have the most to offer. And once you’ve picked up a few concepts you’ll want to stick with them for a while to get a feel for how the process works – you’ll be glad you did.

How can I get a job making films?

You don’t need to have experience in filmmaking to get a job to do it. That said, for a lot of people, getting on a production team can give you a lot of experience and can provide your resume with some credibility. And for a lot of people, it’s a path that will help you get a job eventually. You may find that your background in film isn’t as interesting in your career than it was before, but it doesn’t hurt to have a strong film background.

What was your first film and why did it go down so badly?

I started off with a short film called A Life of Death. The script was written by two friends who didn’t know each other, and so we all pitched it to directors in New York, Los Angeles and Los Angeles, and we got the opportunity to make it happen. That movie went up in smoke. That was the beginning of my career when I was 16 or 17 years old. So I’ve done very well in that film
